Filming Dharma in Lopburi
We brought Monk Michael and Monk Nick of the Wisdom Age Initiative to Lopburi for several days of mindfulness and teaching — professionally captured to build a lasting library of wisdom.
Bringing teachings to a wider world
Spirit Bright supports wisdom and spiritual education — the kind that can open hearts and lift the way people see their lives. In early September, we took two monks of the Wisdom Age Initiative, Monk Michael and Monk Nick, out to the lakes and limestone hills of Lopburi to spend a few days in practice — and to film it beautifully, so the teachings could travel far beyond the moment.
Over three days, from the third to the fifth of September, the monks led mindfulness sessions and Dharma talks across the province — meditating on a rocky outcrop above the water, walking together through open fields at golden hour, and joining in activities at a local school. A professional camera crew travelled with the group, quietly capturing each session in the calm of the surroundings.
The goal was simple and long-term: to create a proper library of photo and video material that the Wisdom Age Initiative can draw on for its digital library— and that Spirit Bright can use for future educational and social content. One trip, thoughtfully documented, becomes a resource that keeps giving.
What we did
- Brought Monk Michael and Monk Nick to Lopburi for a three-day content retreat
- Filmed mindfulness sessions and Dharma talks in the lakes-and-mountains landscape
- Joined activities with the monks at a local school
- Hired a professional camera crew to capture the trip across every setting
- Built a library of photo and video for the Wisdom Age Initiative’s digital library
