A Day at the Lopburi Blind School
We came with lunch, bakery treats, and time to give — sharing a meal and an afternoon with the children and staff at the School for the Blind and the Blind with Multiple Disabilities.
A shared meal, and time together
In the Nikhom Sang Ton Eng area of Mueang Lopburi sits the School for the Blind and the Blind with Multiple Disabilities — a place where children who are blind, and many living with additional disabilities, learn, grow, and are cared for. On the fifth of September, the Spirit Bright team came to spend the day.
We brought lunch and bakery items for everyone at the school — a shared meal for all 101 students and staff. Simple food, made a little more special, and enjoyed together.
We weren’t alone. Several volunteers from the local Lopburi community joined the Spirit Bright team for the visit — neighbors giving their own time to help serve, sit with the children, and share in the afternoon. Grassroots compassion is at its best when it’s local, and this day belonged to Lopburi as much as to us.
What we did
- Provided lunch and bakery items for the children and staff
- Served a shared meal for all 101 students and staff
- Welcomed local Lopburi volunteers to join the team for the day
- Spent time with the children and staff throughout the visit
