Spirit Bright supported the construction of a new chapel at iMonastery in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
A Space for Practice
The chapel will serve as a central space for the monastic community — a place where new monks can be ordained, where the sangha can gather, and where meditation and teachings can take place throughout the year.
For many monasteries, these types of spaces play an important role in sustaining a spiritual community. They provide a quiet and protected environment where practitioners can deepen their training, reflect, and share teachings with others who come seeking guidance.

What It Enables
The new chapel will allow iMonastery to:
- Host ordination ceremonies for new monks
- Provide a dedicated indoor meditation hall for retreats, gatherings, and daily practice
- Serve as a place where visitors and retreat participants can sit in stillness, listen to Dharma teachings, and experience the peaceful atmosphere of monastic life

The Bigger Picture
Supporting spaces like this is part of Spirit Bright's broader mission to help cultivate wisdom and compassion in the world. While material aid can address immediate needs, places devoted to reflection and learning can help people transform the causes of suffering at a deeper level.
Monasteries have long served as centers of wisdom, discipline, and generosity. By helping create spaces where these traditions can continue, we hope to support the conditions for future generations to encounter teachings that lead to greater clarity, kindness, and peace.
This new chapel will stand as a quiet refuge — a place where many people, both monastic and lay, will come to sit, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.
