We believe that the solutions to the world’s suffering — war, oppressive governments, racism, injustice, even depression — cannot be found through external systems or technologies alone. True transformation of our collective reality must be won on the battlefield of the human heart. By turning inward and training the heart, the battle is won, the individual is redeemed, and the world is renewed.
If each person were to embark on this inner journey, the great challenges of humanity would resolve themselves. While this may sound idealistic, it is both possible and practical. Through direct experience and steady inner development, individuals can witness a profound change in themselves — and in how they relate to the world.
As this inner clarity deepens, people naturally begin to withdraw their support from systems and actions rooted in non-virtue, and instead choose to live in alignment with conscience, compassion, and wisdom.
From Tolstoy to Eckhart, Jesus to the Buddha, Gandhi to Confucius, Rumi to Lao Tzu, we see that this truth has been discovered across time and cultures: that the kingdom of heaven lies within.

About the Founder
Sam Marks is an American entrepreneur and investor whose early success in business eventually led him on a deeper search for meaning. After founding and exiting multiple ventures—including a leading European smoking cessation company and Coworker.com, a global workspace platform—Sam spent a decade traveling to over 100 countries while investing across real estate, startups, and alternative assets.
In time, his journey turned inward. A growing interest in meditation and Buddhist philosophy culminated in his ordination as a Theravāda monk in Thailand in 2024. Inspired by the teachings and his new understanding, Sam founded Spirit Bright to help reduce suffering and elevate consciousness through compassionate action—supporting wisdom education, child's development, and animal welfare.
